Sex Sells – Quite Literally

Before your mind fills with tacky underwear and the dirty raincoat brigade – stop! Tabooboo has revamped and rethought the scene with fashion savvy designs, playful graphics and products that say fun – not sleaze.

In the lingerie and loungewear department Tabooboo have brought in Amy Molyneux of PPQ. Amy designed the first Tabooboo collection for the brands concession store at Selfridges which opened 18 months ago. The collaboration has been ongoing and Amy continues to add her range of collectable prints on slinky silks in subtle sable shades.

Split into three distinctive and mischievous collections, take your pick from: Boo Boo – cheeky prints and embroidered logos on comfy vest and knicker sets, Dominique – retro rompers, aprons, gowns and bra and pant sets featuring cutesy prints, and Tabatha – luxury silk, chiffon and satin trimmed soft bras, cami’s, French knickers and sleek robes.

Other designers that have contributed to the Tabooboo brand include – a soft leather bag range that feature naughty fully functional plaited whip handles by Cazza. Hand crafted Burlesque style corsets by acclaimed corsetiere Susi Henson, platform shoes by Mauro Slomp and a ‘Lucky Pants’ collection by Central Saint Martin’s grad Ayten Gasson.
Along with the Selfridges concession Tabooboo have gone the vending machine route – to be found in bars, clubs, hair salons, fashion stores and gyms across the

Tabooboo started out with a niche idea: to provide fashionable girls innovative and functional designs that are well made and beautifully packaged. Thus far the concept has caught on and devotees continue to grow in their droves. Along with the brands concessions and vending machines you can also buy online and even host your very own Tabooboo party.
