Below provides an overview of Diagonal Design who is looking for a talented UK knitwear designer to provide a unique exchange concept. The idea is simple. Diagonal Design will provide accommodation for a UK designer to visit Geleen (south of Netherlands) for three days and will review the Netherlands knitwear market and the different market segmentation. Likewise the UK designer would then need to provide a reciprocal arrangement.

“Diagonal Design B.V. is celebrating 25 years of successful trading this year. Originally Diagona started as a printing company that specialised in placement prints and licence agency goods and today it has developed into a professional player on the private label fashionmarket for the larger retail chains.

 

As a specialist for fashion tops and T-shirts in the circular knit, nightwear and underwear, with or without licence prints, we have become a mature textile company with production facilities in Eastern Europe and Far east countries. 

 

At our head office in Geleen, situated in the south of the Netherlands, we have our own design and styling departments where we develop daily new collection items and specific customer concepts. Based on this flexible system we can be a modern player in the market, by filling in the fast track demands and requirements for our wide customer base.

 

 

 

We also have an in-house testing laboratery, certificated by one of the biggest international retailchain companies, which enables us to do ISO-certificated tests. Herewith we can supply quality garments that are Ã–kotex approved and certificated. 

 

Our clients consist of the largest retail fashion chains, importers, textile-discounters, mail ordercompanies  and buyingoffices that are dispersed all around  Europe.

 

For the garments produced in the Eastern Europe (such as Poland, Hungary and Romania) we have short delivery times which take approximately 6 weeks from yarn to garment delivery. For the garments produced in the Far Eastern countries, we have a delivery time of 14 – 16 weeks after order confirmation.

 

With our co-öperating companies, we produce ladies fashion garments such as tops, shirts, polo’s, deux-pieces and more all in circular knit. Besides solid coloured fabric, we can develope and produce all kinds off all-over printed fabrics, from stripes to placement prints. Fabric qualities range from Viscose / Elasthan, Cotton and Cotton / Elastan, Polyesters and Polyamide / Elasthan and other actual qualities, which are all produced in Turkye, based on our specifications.

 

For decoration, we are able to produce all kind of embroideries, beads, pearls, sequins and swarovski’s all to the customers desire.

 

Logistics and quality control is all housed at our headoffice in Geleen, where we have our own quality control department and we are able to stock hanging goods up to 160.000 pieces. By doing the order pick and pack in house, we can assure that the merchandise will be handled in the right way, as ordered by our clients and that the quality standard will be garanteed.

 

Our target for the coming five years is to increase our turnover by expanding the number of clients on the existing markets and to enter new markets as Great-Britain and Denemark.
