Nalini’s last diary

Nalini’s last Day

Hi everyone, I would just like to say what my situation is at the present moment in time. I have worked for the London Fashion Forum for just over a year now, and I am very sad to say that today is my last day. I have had a thrill of a ride working for the company, and quite frankly I will probably never again be able to fill the hole of excitement and colleges that I have experienced here. I have enjoyed my time tremendously and there are many acknowledgements I will make throughout this piece.

Firstly I am moving to Joseph in Bluewater, to be the new store manager, here I will also have the opportunity to become involved with the buying process for the company. I felt the opportunity would provide and train me with experiences to further my career within the retail industry. Perhaps with further knowledge I will one day be able to dedicate more time in helping and advising new designers in furthering themselves.

Working with the new designers and businesses has now become a passion and I have definitely become more involved and open to progressing in this field. The opportunity to work for an already successful designer company, will hopefully provide me with more know how and qualities that more designers can benefit from when they hit the fierce retail world.

I have to again give my thanks to my old team at Bluewater, without them the shop would have never been such a success. Then firstly Jenny Holloway, for having so much faith in me and handing over so much responsibility, thank you so much for everything and being such a great mentor throughout my employment.

Thank you to David Jones for the continuing support and appreciation. To all my colleges: Tracy Robinson for setting up the Bluewater project and being great fun to work with; Hayleigh Amos who’s enthusiasm and energy I will miss greatly; Vanessa Camelia for providing lots of support and pleasure to work with; Stephanie and Rachel who have now left the company but still their motivation will never be forgotton. I am going to genuinely miss the team, being so small we have grown very close and I hope to one day find the same job satisfaction that I have acquired under this company.

I would also like to say big hugs and kisses to all the designers would have been great, and good luck with all your businesses, keep in touch xxxxx
