Come spring at Top Shop its shirt dresses with a distinctive nautical flavour – while Miss Selfridge goes the vintage route with strapless summery numbers complete with pretty bow details.
2 Yellow Gold
The consumer demand for yellow gold has jolted the luxury jewellery market into action. Now jewellers from Cartier to Patek Philippe are creating ranges with the stuff. Look out for luxurious yellow gold watches that incorporate precious stones on a flash wrist near you.
3 White

4 Lengthening Mascara
While make-up remains polished and barely there – the Spring/Summer 06 shows revealed look-at-me lashes for some full-on flirt and flutter. Thickened-up with layers of mascara some went a tad further with an additional fake lash or two. Good news for fake lash fans go professional and you can now get lash extensions that last for up to two months.
5 Swingy Cropped Jackets
The classic cropped jacket continues to sell and this season it re-emerges loose and swingy. Think 50s boxy jackets, kimono styling with a modern demi-couture twist, it’s the perfect spring cover-up.
6 Belted Waists
It seems like we’ve been wearing belts around the hip area forever, well now they are moving on up and that means waistbands are on the rise too. From satin bows to leather belts it’s time for a bit of old-school hourglass femininity.
7 Neutral Deluxe
Spring 2006 will not be totally devoid of colour but neutrals are set to reign the season. Cream, oatmeal, tan and antique leather, tasteful tones that flatter all.
