Week 43 Trade Shows
It has been a really busy week at Huge with the launch of our client, Dranella at one of the biggest trade shows of the year! Our roles as innovative PR’s included preparation pre event to securing coverage and helping with the plans for a successful stand and brand identity. We also visited the stand over the period of three days as ambassadors of the brand as well as shooting images and selecting samples to secure press coverage. All in a days work!
Trade shows are a great way to gain coverage and are part of helping clients to secure buyers, agents and PR! And also very useful for us in PR to gain clients, seek out competitors and also gain general industry awareness. This week in particular Moda UK trade show was full of brands in the fashion, accessories and footwear arenas.
Launching at a trade show means that you can shop for all sorts of services and as an exhibitor you can get all sorts of useful sources becoming aware of your brand, including press and journalists from consumer to trade magazines in particular. There are lots of ways to stand out at a trade show as well. It’s important to stand out a trade show what with a mass of other stands present – yours really needs to make an extra impact. Dranella were part of the fashion show, often seen at trade shows, where many of the key pieces were modeled. This made them stand out immensely as the shows were very entertaining and attracted large crowds. It also helps press and buyers see and assess what the garments look like on a person, how the fabric moves – which is essential for securing sales (much better than it draping off a hanger!)
Not only that but advertising the brand or getting editorial coverage in the lead up to the show means that people will be already talking about the brand before they get there, making your brand familiar and sought after. Overall, launching at a trade show can be fun, worthwhile and successful if a little manic!
