LFW: Ana Sekularac

Ana Sekularac
Each season Sekularac focuses on a particular shape that she incorporates into her collections; this time round it was the triangle which has been used traditionally in art-deco designs and architecture.
The palette: black, red and purple with splashes of silver. The clothes were expertly pleated along jacket lapels, dress necklines and the back of skirts to create layered triangles and art-deco shapes. To add a Parisian feel, models wore berets and gauntlets; the overall look was sleek, lady-like and sophisticated.
Art-deco cut-out patterns appeared along the hems of black full length and knee length skirts and at the shoulder of sheer blouses. Tulip skirts also made an appearance along the way adding volume to the collection.
Extra detailing appeared in the way of corsages in the shape of small art-deco sun bursts and made otherwise standard jackets look that extra bit special.
Evening wear saw a fabulously girly tutu and cowl neck black and red full length gowns with tulip hems.
