Livin’ The Life – The Lalesso Way

30-05-2007

First launched in South Africa, the high-end beach label is quickly becoming famous for its colourful and beautifully patterned contemporary beach and leisure wear. It was totally its uniqueness and originality that had excited and tempted revellers to attend the fashion show organised by fashion events company Kyzar Chic.

To everyone’s excitement the attendees were first offered a specially made cocktail upon entry, provided by sponsors Appleton VX and served by very hot looking cocktail waiters and waitresses. As the buzz grew and the room began to fill, one was slowly able to spot the attending celebrities, the usual fashion elite and the chic Chelsea crowd that had come down to toast the Lalesso girl’s success. Also among the crowd was the very attractive
Abercrombie and Fitch crew, who with their perfect smiles and chiselled cheekbones drew stares from interested parties whose curiosity got the better of them as they asked in whispers – “Who are they?”

As the fabulously dressed attendees sipped their cocktails whilst swaying to the tiki music being played and making small talk, the backstage mayhem had the Lalesso team perfecting the models look once more whilst unflappable designers Alice and Olivia made sure all was running smoothly.

As the clock struck 8.45pm the music lowered and with an eerie beginning the show began. The first model stepped out in a colourful ensemble that screamed out to be noticed. With an attitude, that only models know how to project, the Lalesso model strutted down the catwalk and was greeted by blinding cameras that clicked away battling for the perfect shot. As the show continued and the music got louder it became easy to see the Lalesso girl’s inspiration, the captivatingly beautiful khanga / lesso, shine through. The end of the show was marked by a thundering applause from the audience that lasted minutes and had the Lalesso girl’s smiling the grin of fashion success.

Lucky attendees received the converted Lalesso Goody Bags that included the must have Lalesso bikini guaranteed to definitely look fashion fab on their South of France summer jaunt. Also in the goody bag was Toni and Guy’s product line – Label M.

Last words…for a label recently featured in Marie Claire, I ask, why not be part of Lalesso’s innovative vision by ‘livin’ the life – the Lalesso way?’ Because it is only then that you will get to understand how this artistic twosome managed to cement success in one of the hardest industries out there – fashion.
