This season, Profile is excited to be held under the umbrella of FashionExpo. Nick Samuel from Hobbs comments:

“Hobbs is delighted to be this season’s main line sponsor of the Profile event with Fashion Expo. We have sponsored Profile over four seasons and as a design led company we are always keen to engage with the highly talented UK designers of today. The Fashion Expo event provides a new way forward for fashion and we are sincerely looking forward to viewing this season’s latest designers. We would like to wish all participants the greatest of success on November 5th and 6th at the Islington Design Centre.”

Amanda Burrows, Head of Ladieswear at Whistles added:

“We are delighted that Profile is now into its 8th season. I was the original supporter of Profile and over the last five years we have seen some exceptional talented designers of ladieswear emerge through Profile. It’s a great event and Whistles is proud to be part of this unique event that provides designers with real support today.

We look forward to showcasing the winning “New Designer” in one of our flag ship stores in Spring/Summer 08 and we would like to particularly acknowledge previous Whistles winners Lisa Larson and Britta Boyer who are now both in their 3rd seasons with Whistles. This is what makes Profile so special and now combined with Fashion Expo it will be even better. It gives retailers a chance to see high calibre designers and, now, manufacturers too.

At Whistles we do go that little bit further; we can help and support designers by offering Whistles internal expertise in areas such as overseas production sourcing and range creation. Most importantly we give them on going sales orders in one of our premier flag ship stores plus we roll out to other stores too if sales are strong.

We are thoroughly looking forward to the event on November 5th and 6th at the Islington Design Business Centre.”
