From the 150 would be applicants, 40 were invited to have a go at modelling exclusive designs from participating designers. Masterminded by Rodney Compton, of Xyris photography and video, and his team, the photographic results speak for themselves.

 

As well as the fresh new faces a selection of professionals from New Dimensions, formerly known as Pulse Models, were on hand to offer posing tips and techniques. Head bookers Luigi and Jazz were also in attendance on the lookout for their next agency protege as well as offering constructive advice.

 

Alongside all the styling and snapping Miss London, Jade Eden, took time out of her busy schedule to put in a guest appearance and provide an overview of how the industry operates. While local press the Croydon Guardian and the Croydon Advertiser dropped by to cover the story.

 

From 9am until 8pm applicants, mum’s and dad’s and customer’s flocked to the boutique to get a glimpse of the action. Designers from the boutique that took part, gaining acres of free publicity, included Hazel Nelson, Semhal Zemikael, Sade Poopola, Antje Rippen, Nadia Minkoff, Joy Poupazis, Kat Bird Millinery, Sara Jacobs, Sharon Edgley, Nkechi Onyugwu, Catharina Eden, Afshan Hussein, Linda Brown, Mehmooda Mohamed, Katarina Brown, Chelsey Saunders and Helen Farrugia, along with manufacturer Corset Art.

 

Thanks to all that participated, not forgetting the Fashion-Enter girls who helped with the coordination and styling.
