We thought it was vitally important for the designers to engage with the project and we decided to take an unusual step and film each designer at GFW.
The trip to GFW was particularly important because it gave an overview of where the design and manufacturing process actually ends…now the designers have to work together to create their own unique garments that will be sold in the Enter Boutique in Croydon.

So you can see they were certainly kept busy and credit to the team they were on the ball.
The next stage….onwards and upwards.
The designers will be having a preview seminar on 4th July to see how they are progressing ready for the X factor finale on 27th July. Here each participant will be giving a presentation to a panel ready for the catwalk fashion show the following week.
Each week there will be updates on the YEP blog from a highly talented Course Leader from YEP Lorraine Brown.
“This is just what Young Enterprise Programme is here to do. We are working with young people aged 16 – 20 in fun and creative workshops to inspire and motivate them for the future. Jenny and I have devised this new cutting edge workshop together and it’s been a tremendous success so far, the designers are very pleased and more importantly highly motivated to succeed.”
Each designer will shortly be sending in a profile too that will be showcased on www.fashioncapital.co.uk
Until the next chapter!
