Taser Raaargh – Whatever Will Be

18-01-2008

{mosimage} Electric Pink, shocking red and stunning leopard print are the new designs in
which Taser guns are to be presented.  At least they should be, but no;
fashion pink, red hot and leopard were the given titles of what just might be
the most outrageous fashion 'necessities' in the history of this, our modern,
intelligent world.

The
idea is that these new Taser C2 stun-gun designs will compliment almost any
given handbag. I might be wrong here but does that mean Tasers should be
kept in the very handbags that women are trying to protect from being stolen?
Are Taser going to release some subtle, skimpy shoulder holsters or
accommodating garter belts next?

Anyhow, regardless of what they look like remember, Taser guns aren't toys or
for that matter, legal in this country.  And anyone (predominantly
Americans I suspect) who owns one has to be checked out first, so as to ensure
safe and responsible use of what Taser refer to as being 'incredible take down
power'. Nice. I seem to recall CS gas being outlawed in this country
too, though that didn't stop me and my mates playing with some in our lounge
over a decade ago.  How we laughed and yes, cried – lots. I don't know if
I've got it in me to attend a Taser party these days, but boy I would've tried
anything in my heyday!

What was I jabbering on about before my inner egomaniac took the controls? Oh
yes, back to the outrageous fashion world. It's perhaps noteworthy that
Tasers will get through around two inches of clothing from up to four and a
half metres away, so anyone throwing a Taser party, remember to wrap up well,
because those things sure can play with your nervous system and its
sensory/motor functions. And ladies, whatever you do, don't confuse your
Taser with any other contraption that females might keep in their handbags; it
could prove to be irreparably embarrassing and somewhat painful too.
