Broome Etchings 4 TopShop
Already well-known for its designer collaborations TopShop has announced their latest creative recruit. Sweet n’ sour illustrator Will Broome will be applying his dark humour to a small TopShop capsule collection, giving cotton tunics and vests a dose of Broome appeal. No stranger to collaborations Broome’s etchings can already be found on the Marc by Marc Jacobs range, his capsule collection for TopShop will launch in selected stores on 20th April. www.topshop.com
Banana Republic Lands In The UK
American retail favourite Banana Republic has just opened its doors for the very first time to the UK market. Housed over three floors in the old Dickins & Jones building on London’s Regent Street, fashion editors and press were treated to a private shopping prelude by way of a media kick-start for the brand. Key spring pieces include chic high-waisted skirts, silk blouses, classic Macs and urban safari separates.

Claudia Schiffer has been named as this year’s celebrity judge and media magnet at June’s Graduate Fashion Week. 37-year-old Schiffer has been in the fashion business for over two decades will join the judging panel that will determine the River Island Gold Award, which comes with a £20,000 prize for one lucky graduate. Commenting on the role she said: “I have been privileged to witness the incredible expertise of some of the most inspiring design talents in the world. The passion and energy that surrounds this creative world are addictive and to take part in supporting the birth of new talent is fantastic.”
Graduate Fashion Week will feature the work of over a thousand students from 49 universities & colleges across the U.K. It will take place from 8th to 12th June at London’s Earls Court. www.gfw.org.uk
