The graduates certainly showed innovative creativity with themes transcended intelligently into garment construction. Armour and protective features such as oversized collars and structured accessories were a common theme and even horse hair jackets came into play via Emma Griffiths.

Caroline Roughly opened the show with her playful, clown like outfits in bright hues, pom pom shaped buttons and mirrored bowler hats. Patterns and colours clashed wonderfully with cute layered skirts and vivid tights. The show piece a wool, pom pom constructed skirt.

Awen Teifi's metallic egg shell garments were innovatively decorated with layers of veneer encasing the body in an oversized feature such as collars or belts.

For understated glamour Laura Thomas showed a collection of stunning taffeta ball gowns all dripping in crystals for a dazzling effect.

Ho Yan Ip created a unique and modern effect with padded life jackets transformed into funky outfits with wrist band accessories and straps around the body.

My favourite for divine femininity and a delicious colour palette was Bao ta. Turquoise flared trousers teamed with a fuchsia pink top had incredible detail. Waists were nipped in, collars decoratively framed the face and cute fur trims all added to charming appeal of this wonderfully wearable collection.

Could the next Christopher Bailey be amongst this lot? I certainly think so!
