Launch of Croydon Fashion Festival

The Croydon Fashion Festival commenced today and what a launch to this fantastic week kicking off with a parade through the streets and shopping Centre's of Croydon lead by non other than Ashley McKenzie of X Factor with a few of our other fave celebs such as Posh and Becks!! A selection of the top 20 finalists for the "Face of Croydon" graced the streets followed by a sea of the general public, a brass band and key members of the Croydon community.
Croydon's first ever Fashion Festival will offer something for everyone, from ground-breaking avant-garde shows to demonstrations of the best local talent. We've got opportunities for young entrepreneurs to learn from top industry professionals, whilst fun competitions and makeovers will cause excitement in stores throughout the town centre.
The Fashion Festival is the first of a series of events planned the coming year by the BID team – look out for Croydon Food Festival in October and Croydon Film Festival in March 09.
