The Seventies, better the second time round? Or the third or the fourth…

The Fedora is leading the pack of the revival of Headgear. In blanket felt with striped rims as seen at Tommy Hilfiger in New York or black and sombre at Diane von Furstenberg. The fedora can be worn by anyone with any budget. Team with a chunky knit and knee skimming boots.

Cape Coats have been around for a few seasons now and they don’t seem to be leaving us any time soon. Next season they are not without a twist. They are sporty and grungy at Alexander Wang and in contrast slightly more feminine as seen at Tommy Hilfiger who teamed heavy wool with leather strap fastenings.

Just about everywhere you look next season you will see some sort of Berry Shade. Ranging from the most full-bodied burgundies to the softest mauve you will not escape this. Looking great teamed with navy, olive and grey I suggest this is a trend everybody embraces.

A lot like the S/S styles we will see in all the shops in the coming weeks Longer-length skirts will stay with us through to next season. From mid-calf to the top of you ankle, we will be freaked to see anything thigh skimming. I mean, hemlines on day dresses looked positively Victorian!

As waistcoats or jackets or as shaggy inserts on collarless coats Shearling is going to be BIG. Be careful to wear your volume wisely, though; forgo texture on your sleeves unless you are going for the Lady gaga look.
