Its customary British tailoring underscores the company’s immaculate support of the British textile industry and ensures its impeccable standards are well maintained. Made in England pieces celebrate all the British hallmarks of Aquascutum.

Aquascutum is officially selling in 100 Regent Street, it’s flagship for the past 110 years. Aquascutum is renowned for its luxury rainwear and is owned by Jaeger’s Harold Tillman who has hired property agents, Cushman & Wakefield to sell its lease. In doing so, he hopes to sell for a seven figure sum and to relocate to a smaller store on Bond, Jermyn or Sloane Streets.

5 Bids are believed to have been made for the shop’s lease, including from the landlord of Great Portland Estates which wants to choose the next occupier. Many retailers have their eyes on the store which currently rents to £1.68m a year, such as Harvey Nichols wanting the store for its new beauty Bazaar concept. Superdry and Hollister are also known to have made unsolicited approaches for National Geographic’s store across the road on Regent Street.
