Fashion’s 30th Season of Pure

From the 7th – 9th August, there has been excitement building in the fashion world…retail buyers from the UK and Overseas have been at the incredible event that is Pure, which is now in its 30th season.

Pure is the Uk’s leading fashion buying event that was staged at Olympia and Earls Court 2, showcasing over 1000 brands and thousands of clothes, shoes and accessories. Pure is a mixture of established designers and new talent and gives the opportunity for them to be stocked in shops up and down the country, as well as stores on different continents.

Over the past 30 seasons, Pure has grown and developed on an amazing scale, with this season’s highlights including House of Harlow 1960 and Lee Jeans.  This season also saw an entire hall of footwear and accessories, exciting to any prospective fashion buyer! Trends seen were animal prints, flashes of bright electric blue seen in dresses and pastel/nude palettes seen in clothing and shoes.

While the buyers love the opportunity to see new and emerging talent as well as the collections of established brands, the designers love the range of visitors that Pure brings through its doors.  First time exhibitor, Jora, an evening wear designer from Milton Keynes, see’s Pure as a “…great launch pad…” for their collection and the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) have used Pure to target a different audience than would be seen at London Fashion Week, in order to further their campaign for ‘Positive Earth Causes’.

With the 30th season being a success all round, it leaves us guessing to what gems Pure can come up with next season. Dates are yet to be announced but keep you eyes peeled as it will definitely not disappoint! Or if you can’t wait that long, they are launching a new event, Pure Close to Season which will be held in October. Follow the link below to keep up to date with the goings on at the world of Pure.
