The Anatomy of Fendi
Lucky post grad students, studying Design Products at the Royal College of Art, have been given the chance to work with Fendi and their new Sloane Square boutique. 9 students had the opportunity to turn the store into their own personal workshops and in the words of Fendi create “something spectacular!” Each display is definitely original, take a look below at some of the ideas and designs used in ‘The Anatomy of Fendi’.
Student Lola Lely’s Kinetic Frenetic Machine spins a ribbon of Fendi Selleria multicoloured leather in the style of Italian Futurist art.

Meret Probst’s ‘Starting with a Blank Canvas’ has a selection of different coloured paint drip down onto three white Fendi bags, which he says “enhances” the bags design.

Nicholas Wallenberg and Helena Karelson boiled down a selection of Fendi’s Selleria leather and used it dye flowers. The results produced an ‘F’ within a bed of yellow dyed roses.

Samuel Weller and Imme van der Haak have reconstructed Fendi Selleria bags in representation of museum pieces in glass jars.

Creativity gone mad?! Or has Fendi taken the initiative to inspire students and creators of the next generation? This display is at the Sloane Street store until October.
