London Fashion Week – Bernard Chandran Autumn/Winter 2012

20-02-2012

The suggestion of classic elegance was seen throughout the eveningwear based show. The garments were sharp, clean and structured. Luxurious silks, jacquard and gold fabric enhanced the extravagance formal wear. The innovative pieces were structurally focused. Collars were detachable; zips exposed and shoulder seams, manipulated into points, exposing the skin beneath. Exaggerated, architectural collars were the focus of many minimal pieces and came in an array of colours.

The sombre colour palette consisted of sombre, black and white. Conflicting with striking red collars and bold blue dresses. There was a lot of attention to detail, garments were adorned and embellished with fur, beading, perspex layers and laser cut fabric.
