FashionCapital & the School Engagement Programme

The programme is part of the Employers Ownership Programme with Huddersfield Textile Centre of Excellence and the Group Training Association which aims to raise awareness of the many apprenticeship opportunities available in the fashion sector.
Currently Fashion-Enter has 22 jobs available with leading companies such as Topshop, Topman and River Island and now is the perfect time to inform the next batch of school leavers that these apprenticeships exist. The team at Fashion-Enter are now looking for enthusiastic individuals to join and gain a wealth of experience from these leading retailers and e-tailers.
Schools that the team have recently visited include:
Park View; a community school in Tottenham, North London which has gone from strength to strength and is headed up by Alex Atherton.
Northumberland Park; a lively co-educational, multi ethnic community school based in North London managed by headteacher Monica Duncan.

Fashion-Enter are also about to open the ‘Stitching Academy’ which will be available to school leavers aged between 16-24 plus. Successful candidates will be able to join a six week course which will be a Level 1 qualification with ABC Awards. The course will enable course participants to review industrial sewing machine operations; using industrial sewing machines and understand inspection of finished sewn products as well as Health and Safety at Work and employment rights and responsibilities.
