Marks & Spencer Leading Ladies Campaign

British high street retailer, Marks & Spencer has launched a new campaign with the help of some British leading ladies, familiar faces including Ellie Goulding, Grace Coddington and Katie Piper. The campaign features 12 diverse woman all from very different backgrounds and industries.

The Autumn/Winter campaign which was shot by Annie Leibovitz, carries the theme of Britain’s leading ladies. The shots follow inspiration of Annie’s renowned Vanity Fair shoot, in which the woman pose in similar locations to the setting of her iconic Tower Bridge and an artists studio backdrop.

Leibovitz was described as “the perfect choice for the shoot.” by Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne. No doubt from her unmistakable, signature style of photography.

The models in the campaign include:

Tracey Emin, one of Britain’s most successful female artists.

Ellie Goulding, a well known female singer, she recently bagged her first UK number 1.

Dame Helen Mirren a Oscar winning British actress.

Nicola Adam, British female gold medal olympic boxer.

Laura Mvula singer/song-writer who has recently had a climb to fame, orginally from Birmingham.

Darcey Bussell, a popular British ex-ballerina.

Helen Allen who recently won British nurse of the year.

Grace Coddington, British Vogue executive.

Karen Elson, A well known British Model.

Monica Ali British novel writer.

Katie Piper acid victim surviver and a now well known TV presenter and hero to women nationwide.

Jasmine Whitbread CEO of Save The Children.

 

The campaign will feature in both the UK and M&S’s international stores including Dubai, Paris and Hong Kong.

Marks & Spencer hopes that these images will help them in illustrating their move into a new era. This follows their aim to become most sustainable major retailer by 2015 M&S have also recently teamed up with Unicef to try and raise $1 million.
