Celebrating Everything British with Bloomingdale’s

The iconic store which currently stocks over 40 unique British brands is holding an event combining both English fashion and music. Taking inspiration from The Beatles, typical British merchandise including umbrellas and cuff links will be available, based on the personalities and styles of the members.

The department store which was founded in 1861, currently stocks a number of British labels including Burberry, U Clothing and Ted Baker and will become home to a number of exclusive ranges interpreted by the new campaign. British based designer Thomas Pink will exclusively design a Beatles dress shirt, with concealed yellow submarine print on the inside collar.

The promotion which kicks off in September, in time with London Fashion Week has taken inspiration from the latest runways, fashion director Josh Peskowitz commented on the designs saying There’s a lot of British-countryside sort of influence on the runway this year.” Commenting furtherthat the timing was perfect, the collaboration will tie in with previous plans to hold a British inspired promotion at the American retail giant as well as the 50th Anniversary of Beatlemania.
