Marc Jacobs Exits Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs joined the fashion house back in 1997 and has helped develop the label into a global luxury brand for the past 16 years.

His final collection took to the Paris runway today, 2nd October 2013, putting an end to the designers impressive reign with a bang. His grungy, mesh collection was predominately black, similar to his first show for the label. The set of the S/S show featured set pieces from past shows, including a carousel, escalators and a clock which wound backwards throughout the proceedings.

The New York based designer will leave the fashion house to focus on his own eponymous brands – Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Louis Vuitton are yet to confirm another name to replace Jacobs.
