Marks & Spencer Senior Womenswear Executive Exits

21-10-2013

M_and_SGillian Ridley Whittle, development and buying director of womenswear has left the retailer, it has been confirmed.

Ridley Whittle started at M&S in 2004 as head of buying for the lingerie and beauty department where she was promoted to buying director of womenswear earlier this year.

Based at Marks and Spencer for almost 10 years, Ridley Whittle is leaving the high-street retailer to join Target, an Australian department store.

Gillian’s departure will pile on the pressure on the retailer, only earlier this year the director of the lingerie and beauty department, Jane Schaffer left the company after 3 months in her position. Shortly followed by Cathy Heydon, head of merchandising who left in September.
