BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Winner is Announced
Peter Pilotto has been selected as this year’s winner of the Fashion Fund.
The fund was established in 2008 and provides the winning designer with 12 months worth of support in bespoke and high level mentoring as well as a £200,000 grant to help in growing their business to the next level.
Zoe Jordan, House of Holland, Mary Katrantzou, Osman and Emila Wickstead were all also shortlisted for the prize this year and were invited to present their collection and business plan of the next 5 years, to the judging committee, made up of industry experts and representative of the businesses supporting the funding initiative.
Caroline Rush, Chief Executive at British Fashion Council commented on this year’s winner, “Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos are an incredibly dynamic design team who since launching their label in 2007, have won the hearts and minds of the industry and the public with their vibrant colours and unforgettable prints.” Rush was particularly impressed by the designer duos vision and ability to take their label to the next level.
