Topshop Expands With New York Flagship

Fifth Avenue in New York is home to some of the biggest and well known brands, which has recently been joined by Topshop, who have opened a flagship store in the 40,000 square foot space.

The new store space, which is allocated opposite the Rockefeller Centre, is Topshop’s second biggest flagship, with the largest still being the London Oxford Circus location, which is home to both Topshop and Topman as well as concession stores and services, including a personal shopping and beauty counter.

Creating hundreds of new jobs, the Manhattan store is set to open towards the end of the year, joining the only other New York Topshop, which opened in 2009.

The store which will sell both Topshop and Topman lines follows Arcadia’s expansion into global success, which recently saw 80 new store openings with the past 12 months.

Sir Phillip Green shared his delight and excitement on the huge expansion, “I am very excited about Fifth Avenue, in addition to our flagship stores expansion we are continually developing our tosphop.com and topman.com $ sites and our on-going partnership with Nordstrom continues to develop.” Saying the location is perfect for the brand, the prominent corner is the ideal spot for Topshop and one he has been seeking for many years.

Topshop will go onto expand even further into another 8 countries, including Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.
