Topshop To Offer 3D Catwalk Experience



Promising a ‘hyper-real, enchanting experience’ Topshop will be working closely with 3D company Inition to create the experience within their Oxford Street Flagship store.  Offering the opportunity to five customers, the lucky participants will have to wear a 3D headset before entering a 360 degree virtual world, “which will be a hybrid of live feed of the runway”. The 3D experience will also give coverage of the backstage area, the set and the VIP arrivals.

The catwalk show which is showing on Sunday 16th at the Tate Modern Turbine Hall, is allowing visitors to visit the set during the run up to the show. The venue will be set up with viewing platforms for visitors to see the behind the scenes set-up of the catwalk show, prior to the catwalk.

Topshop owner, Sir Phillip Green commented, “The Topshop Unique show is going from strength to strength; not only in terms of the collection but also in how we share this with our customers at home and in our stores, giving them an up to the minute runway show experience.”

Looking for ways to continually gain, engage and involve customers Topshop is also allowing customers purchase the makeup, music and pre-order the garments featured in the show online.

For those that aren’t able to experience the event, Topshop will live-stream the catwalk show online.
