LC: Men SS15 Oliver Spencer
Rhythm of the City led the show with an upbeat, carnival samba. A resort-feel collection, the first pieces had a summery vibe, soft t-shirts and loose trousers, slim line cuts that taper at the ankle.
The collection began with an array of grey’s, loosely tailored suits in lightweight fabrics, styled with a crease to the legs and bodies creating a tailored yet lived-in look.
The pieces were all styled in coordinating colours, however on closer inspection featured small, intricate detailing. Suits were crafted in fine tweed, pockets detailed with a brightly coloured pocket square and jeans printed in a floral splash of colour.
Silhouettes include slouchy blazers teamed with matching waistcoats and loose fitting trousers. A colourful collection, the tones of warm mustard, khaki green and splashes of red in tartan among the predominately navy pieces didn’t distract from the flowy fabrics of the designs.
Many of the designs had a real sense of everyday wear, striped jumpers were layered under smart coats, jackets were left unzipped and ankles were on show, it was classic, classy and stylish.
In full World Cup spirit, the finale fused a Southern-American feel to the collection, carnival dancers joined the models, dancing along the catwalk to the sound of the percussion.
