Fashion Enter Heads South West: New Plymouth Sampling Unit Coming Soon
03-12-2024
The concept of Fashion Enter is multiplying! Following the successful Plymouth Trunk Show on the 22nd June 2017 at Ocean Studio Fashion Enter (FEL) has been providing help, guidance and support on how this once thriving area of garment manufacturing, such as the Jaeger factory, can reignite a new age of sampling production and skills training. Basically a mini version of Fashion Enter’s Fashion Studio and the Fashion Technology Academy in North London.

FEL has created a workable business plan, provided detailed costings, structures and an insight into how to develop quality training. From June to December 2017 FEL has worked closely with the Plymouth College of Art and Roger Pipe CE of Millfields Trust on a terms of reference for a new age sampling unit…the name is yet to be confirmed.
FEL has also been involved in job specs and interviewing candidates for the role too – we were all delighted that Sophie Glover was awarded the job as Studio Manager of the forthcoming unit.
CEO of Fashion Enter and the FTA Jenny Holloway commented: “It’s been an absolute privilege to work on such an exciting initiative. Having set up our own successful Fashion Studio and FTA meant that we could prevent Millfields Trust and Plymouth College of Arts from making the costly mistakes we made! It’s been a pleasure to work with the team and we are confident under Sophie’s guiding expertise the new centre will be a great success in September 2018.”
