31-01-2020
Taking place from the 9th – 11th February 2020 Pure London offers a curated line up of over 1,300 ready-to-wear collections across women’s, men’s and children’s fashion and over 150 suppliers and manufacturers within Pure Origin. A trade show not-to-miss the daily schedule also includes fashion shows, trend insights and industry talks from leading professionals.
One such industry professional is our very own CEO Jenny Holloway, at 1pm on the 9th February she will be on the Pure ‘Origin’ stage to discuss the headline topic ‘Understanding garment making in the UK and shedding light on the ‘Fast Fashion is land-fill’ misconception’.

Jenny will discuss how brands and factories can create sustainable, commercially successful clothes that are responsive to customer demand. She will explain about short lead times, small quantities, selling out at full price and how to work with UK factories to achieve this. She will also cover how to avoid common pitfalls to create a longstanding relationship with your ideal factory and how to make the right choices that fit with your order numbers, ethos and budget.
The following day, 10th February at 15.45pm, Jenny will be back on the Origin Stage once again for a panel discussion entitled: ‘Things you wish you’d known about sourcing’. Joined by Alison Lowe, Creative Consultant, Henrietta Adams, Founder of Henri London and Marie Oakes Founders of The Trend Academy, the speakers will discuss the mistakes they had initially made and could have avoided. The panel will touch on: managing the challenges of language, sampling, quality, shipping and returns when working with factories and mills. Ethics and fraud as well as logistical factors inherent in working relationships that sometimes cross time zones and thousands of miles.
Additionally one not-to-miss on the Pure London agenda is the Keynote speaker Dame Zandra Rhodes. Zandra will take to the newly created Nomad stage in the National Hall of Olympia London to discuss ‘50 Years of Fabulous’ on Day 1 of the event.

As one of the most enduring and iconic designers of our generation, this year Zandra celebrates her own Jubilee in the fashion industry. Visitors will hear her speak about the ups and downs of continuing to thrive in the fashion world, offering fascinating insights and no doubt a few interesting stories over the years. Over the past 50 years, Zandra has dressed figureheads of the fashion industry in her signature creations, which combine vibrant patterns and finishes with superior-quality fabrics. Her seasonal collections are a fine display of her textile expertise and experience, captured in the colourful and timeless dresses printed and beaded by hand at her London atelier.
