After a four year hiatus JoJo Iles is extremely excited to be back as editor on www.fashioncapital.co.uk
JoJo began her journalism career in the midst of studying at the London College of Fashion in 2002 when FashionCapital initially started. She worked her way up as editor and then took time out to pursue independent fashion related projects such as running ‘British Designers @ FashionCapital’ boutique and working on editorial and PR projects for private clients.
On returning to FashionCapital JoJo comments: “It is fantastic to be back on this vast fashion portal that is brimming with useful industry information. My task now is to take the website to the next level to oversee the quality of all content and ensure that FashionCapital is the number one port of call for those working in the industry.”
Not much pressure then!!

Fashion & Textile 2013 Riga
Last week saw FashionCapital visit the capital of Latvia, Riga, to take part in the largest Fashion and Textiles exhibition in the Baltics.
A carefully selected range of British designers were represented both on the FashionCapital stand and on the catwalk and some fantastic contacts were made!
Director Jenny Holloway spoke at the conference on ‘Successful Brand Management in the UK’ to an audience of up and coming designers, and on day two we judged the new designer competition Habitus Baltija.

On 28th April 2013, Director of Fashion Enter Ltd, Jenny Holloway will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research!
“My close friend has a wonderful daughter Lydia who is 11 years old. She was recently diagnosed with Leukaemia. I really didn’t know anything substantial about Leukaemia and I certainly didn’t realise how devastating Leukaemia can be. The more I have learnt about leukaemia the more I realise the enormous strides that have been made in research to fight leukaemia. There is now a high percentage chance of full recovery for certain types of Leukaemia for children but the need for research has to continue. I wanted to do ‘something’ to raise money. I hate heights but sometimes you have to move out your comfort zone and do something that counts!
On Sunday 28th April I am jumping out of an aeroplane with my son Thomas. It will be 12000 feet up! My stomach has just rolled at the very thought!
If you can donate any money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, however small, all will be appreciated!”

Bromley Fashion Week
From 20th – 26th May Bromley Town Centre is hosting its first ever Bromley Fashion Week with a series of fashion based activities throughout the week.
Fashion Enter will be hosting a ‘How to design your own T-shirt’ workshop on 20th May for budding designers, as well a ‘Walk the Walk’ workshop for all potential Models on 25th May. Other events include a Ladies night and Prom hair show!
River Island Fashion Apprenticeship
Following the announcement that high street retailer River Island will be hiring five fashion production apprentices to be based in their head office, working across design, production and quality control we have been inundated with applications! This is a fantastic opportunity and one not to be missed!
We can now confirm an initial screening day will take place on 1st May to select 15 candidates who will be interviewed by River Island in an assessment day on week commencing 13th May.
We are still accepting CV’s so if you want to apply please submit your CV and confirm your date of birth to jenni@fashion-enter.com.
