River Island Fashion Apprenticeship
Following the announcement that high street retailer River Island will be hiring five fashion production apprentices to be based in their head office, working across design, production and quality control we have been inundated with applications! This is a fantastic opportunity and one not to be missed!
We can now confirm an initial screening day will take place on 24th April to select 15 candidates who will be interviewed by River Island in an assessment day on 29th April.
We are still accepting CV’s so if you want to apply please submit your CV and confirm your date of birth to jenni@fashion-enter.com.

Apprenticeship update
We are delighted to welcome two new apprentices to the programme this week. Bliss Charles is taking the Level 3 pathway and has joined Lipstick Boutique as their fashion apprentice and Ella Boyd is taking the Level 4 and has joined Atelier Tammam as their Office Manager.
Latest Vacancy – MACANDI Showroom – Sales and Distribution Apprentice
MACANDI showroom is looking to hire their second apprentice who will part of their sales and distribution team. The apprentice will be on the Level 4 programme which is a 16 month course on Product Sourcing and Development.

Fashion & Textile 2013 Riga
Next week FashionCapital will be heading to Latvia to take part in the one of the most important events in the fashion and textile industry in the Baltics.
From 19th – 21st April we will be representing a carefully selected cross section of UK designers in Riga at the 18th international textile, clothing, leather garments and production equipment exhibition Fashion & Textile 2013(formerly known as Intertextil Balticum)

Spring is here! New Career!
New for spring is a series of workshops which are aimed at: Graduates (Entry Level), First Job Movers (Intermediate) and Management (Advanced) and anyone who has a passion for fashion and retail and takes their career development seriously.
The World of Fashion and Retail is constantly changing and a good career development plan will help you stand out to potential employers by developing you’re: CV, Profile, Portfolio and targeting yourself to get that next interview and ultimately that job!
The Workshops will cover
– The Fashion Industry – what employers are looking for
– How to work with recruitment agencies
– Overview of the sectors in and jobs in Fashion & Retail: Buying, Visual Merchandising & Design
On Saturday 20th April a FREE introductory workshop from 10.00am – 12.00pm will take place at The Fashion Studio with Business and Careers consultant Paula Arkell.
