Dear all,

Maisy James launches at Profile!

Actress and model Maisy James is launching her clothing collection at the 2012 Profile show! The multi talented nineteen year old Londoner has had a keen eye for fashion from as far back as she can remember. She said that it felt like a natural progression for her and after eighteen hard months of design, development and prototyping Maisy is proud to present her final work and we are naturally delighted to be chosen to exclusively showcase the collection at the Profile three day trade event.

“I’m incredibly excited to have designed my own range and finally see the ideas I put together brought to life. The Profile fashion event later this year is the perfect platform to launch from!”

She added “I can rarely find anything from the high street that I’m a 100% happy to wear so decided to create my own collection which fuses my own personal style with credible, practical on trend fashion! Think chic couture with an edgy vibe! It’s been an incredible journey pulling this all together and I could not have done it without the help of Fashion Enter and the production team at The Fashion Studio. In this exciting year that’s seen the Golden jubilee and now the Olympics showcase in our great capital I’m immensely proud to say my collection is truly Made in Britain!’

House of Fraser update

Director Jenny Holloway and Sales Manager Fiona Forrest at Fashion Enter Ltd held a productive meeting with the Head of Concessions at House of Fraser head office last week

Overall it was a successful meeting and has opened the door for us with House of Fraser concessions which is fantastic.

This is just the first step however, but we have secured a second meeting with HOF visiting our Fashion Studio.

The success of this initial meeting was largely down to the impressive look book of designers we were able to present – so credit to all designers!

This was an introductory meeting as to what we can offer and they were suitably impressed.

There is a long way to go and nothing is guaranteed but the fact that we have a second meeting is promising.

The meeting explained how concession space works in HOF and there is a lot of detail and important factors to consider such as the replenishment of stock and staffing the space etc.

All of this will be fully explained further down the line however.

We will keep all designers informed of the date for the next meeting. This is a great first step – watch this space!

Congratulations to the Apprentices!

Congratulations to the Apprentices who have now finished their qualification and passed with outstanding marks!

The candidates will now be moving on and we wish them the best of luck in what ever they choose to do next!

Sophie Cornwell who has been completing her apprenticeship at the Fashion Studio said,

Thank you to everyone at Fashion Enter who helped me pass my apprenticeship and made my time here special. I’m really happy that I passed and have learnt so much! I’ll miss everyone sooo much!’

Sophie has now passed her Level 3 Apprenticeship and so its with a heavy heart we say a goodbye to Sophie who is moving on to pastures new!

Jenny Holloway said ‘Its been a real pleasure working with all three apprentices Natalie Sam and Sophie. All have unique skills and have been an asset. Sophie has certanly been a leading example and a model employee. No wonder the world of buying is such a draw for such a talented lady. Sophie we all wish you the very best with the next chapter of our career. Don’t ever be a stranger!’

Joanna completed her apprenticeship with ASOS.com and told us,

Doing the fashion apprenticeship has definitely been the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life. Not so much the work itself but the commitment it took to complete it amongst all the other things I had to deal with in my everyday life. Although a lot of tears were shed I am grateful for having done the apprenticeship because it taught me a lot about myself and how many flaws I had that needed adjusting. Like organisation and time management. Before doing this I had always been a quitter but I really had to push myself not to give up, even at the last hurdle.

I am so grateful for the time and effort Andy and Jenny put in to making sure I got through this, I owe them a lot. My aim is to stay on at ASOS as I love working there but generally I hope anything I do will make Jenny feel that gaining a few grey hairs was worth it! The Fashion Enter staff were all very supportive and again I’m thankful that I had this opportunity. It truly has been a blessing and a life changing experience!’

Fashion Studio paperwork

With immediate affect the Fashion Studio will be using a set of new paperwork that each client needs to use and return to us.

The Fashion Studio is approaching maximum capacity and each client has their own methods and paperwork. Our ladies are brilliant but its taking too long to decipher everyones different methods hence only one system is to be used. This is a Progress Sheet, size spec and a docket. These are the minimum requirements.

If anyone needs help with these documents you are welcome to come in for a meeting

The FS is an excellent facility and we strive for the very best of standards at all times.

Also a polite reminder that all goods must be paid for before they are dispatched but naturally before quality approval.

We are delighted to welcome Rebecca Vaughan who is replacing Sophie at the Fashion Studio as Creative Assistant. Please contact Rebecca on rebecca@fashion-enter.com
