FashionCapital and Diamond Jubilee Announcement
Fashion capital is delighted to announce that it has secured a contract with Bromley Council to provide fashion installations for the borough’s Diamond Jubilee celebration entitled ‘London as a Global Centre of Fashion’.
The installations will be on display on Tuesday 15th May and will include designers from London Fashion Week such as Osman, Jean Pierre Braganza and PPQ, the Design Life Cycle, University of East London Final fashion student collections plus our very own designers such as Hemyca & Beautiful Soul. The installations will be visited by Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip who will be attending the event as part of their regional Jubilee tour.
We will also be showcasing the Future of Fashion competition entries and winner. The competition is easy to enter and entries will be voted for on the FashionCapital website. For more information and for the chance to have your entry viewed by Her Majesty please click here.
One Week Until The Collection!!
With one week until The Collection at Chinawhite the preparations are hotting up with VIP spaces running out and a guestlist of industry and press.
The Couture Cake Kitschen are sponsoring the event and providing yummy cupcakes whilst goodie bags are being supplied by Harvey Luke and will contain lots of lovely products including New ID eyelashes. Designers include Morella Sassoon, Shi Dolor and Bad London.

Yes London is a luxury womenswear brand developed by Blue Dream. Blue Dream, with over 30 years in the Italian textile industry is mainly known for its fur and leather production. As the reputation of the brand flourished the decision was made to launch a new, contemporary fashion label which was launched in 1995.
Yes London has continued to grow with the help of a dynamic design team staying true to quality and luxury values while aiming to be at the forefront of fashion.
Designs feature elements of casual tailoring and sophisticated leather wear which can be mixed to create high impact looks for the night or day – the collections also include accessories. With designs being sold in Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, USA, Canada and Japan the brand continues to expand and with new distribution in Sao Paulo it is breaking into Latin America too.
The brand has shown during London Fashion Week in the Westbury Hotel Mayfair and has been featured in publications worldwide including Vogue Brazil.

New Look Looking for two Apprentices!

Bath Does Fashion Week
It’s been a very stylish time indeed here in Bath with an all out week long agenda featuring shows, seminars, talks, workshops, screenings and events.
For us at the boutique it began with ‘Bath Life’s Fashion Night Out’ and an in-store Nail Bar courtesy of Nails Inc, thanks girls for the great shape and polish (mine still look as though they have just been done) along with a glass of fizz, a raffle and a selection of discounted designs.
The following day was an early start (not good after a night of fizz!) dropping off outfits for the Designer Show at the Assembly Rooms. By mid-morning models had run through the outfits and we were required to provide an alternative outfit for look 6 which was a tad too short and a bit, well, rude. Luckily we had something long and flowing by the same designer (so as not to confuse the credit notes) and the piece actually worked better than the original option. Bonus!
The show went really well and the British Designers section looked stunning with the likes of Hemyca, Danny Tang, Tramp in Disguise, Zoe Boomer and Nina Bon Bina working the catwalk topped off with Fifi Venus headpieces.
Saturday and our very own Director Jenny Holloway came into town as a guest on the ‘Fashion Your Future’ careers panel. Others on the panel included: Journalist Sarah Mower, Stylist Rebekah Roy, Designer Joe Richards plus others. It was insightful to hear how panel members got to where they are today and the journey was not always a straight path!
Bath in Fashion 2012 may have come to an end but there’s still time to bag a stylish bargain with the Independent Sample Sale starting this Thursday. British Designers will be joining in with a selection of goodies alongside Traffic People, Image, Sassy & Boo, Stella & Dot and more.
So if you are in Bath from Thursday 5th April onwards do come and find the ‘Sample Sale’ next to the café courtyard in Milsom Place, well, it would be rude not to. Local mag ‘Folio’ Bath & Bristol have featured the sale on page 23 this month;)
Boutique Pick of The Week
