How to Succeed in Fashion Today
On 7th February 2012 Fashion Enter’s seminar on ‘How to succeed in the Fashion Industry’ will take place at The Fashion Studio providing that all important advice to up and coming designers.
The seminar consists of a series of guest speakers as well as the Fashion Enter team discussing all the services and support available. The day long seminar is ideal for both new members and those thinking about becoming a member to Fashion Enter and FashionCapital as you can meet face to face with the team and learn all about the different services. There is also an optional visit to The Factory in the afternoon to review the facilities and meet with the Production Manager.
This seminar will include a presentation by Trends Analyst Marlena Woodford.
Fashion Trends – The True Story
What are fashion trends? Where do they come from? Can they be helpful for designers, the creative process and the success of each collection? Or is the opposite true and they kill creativity? How do trend forecasting companies work and how can we most effectively use the results of their work? This seminar will address some of the many misconceptions about trends, casting light on the subject and helping designers to understand trends, find new ways of looking at them and use them in their work to achieve greater success. Additionally during the seminar Marlena Woolford will call on her experience of having worked for trends forecasting companies such as WGSN and Stylus to show some examples of trends.”
