NEWSLETTER Dear all,
The Collection
Once again we will be running The Collection – this month the show is taking place in top nightclub Amika. Amika, located on trendy High Street Kensington, has played host to some of the UK’s favourite celebs including: P Diddy (who recently threw his first London party for 4 years in Amika), Girls Aloud, Kelly Rowland, JLS and a host of British Footballers. On the 23rd of July we will be taking over this club for a sexy, summer themed catwalk show!

The Collection is in association with www.edgemodels.co.uk and is all about promoting fresh designer and model talent! Guests are greeted with a cocktail reception before the show begins, this is a very effective way to showcase to industry and consumers in a relaxed, chic atmosphere. To take part in the Collection costs designers £100. This covers the costs of models, styling, organisation, guest list access for the designer and friends/colleagues/family etc and a set of catwalk images for the designers to keep. The Collection is a huge project that pulls together two great talent focussed organisations and delivers a night to remember!

Designers! – we are looking for funky summer, resort wear and SWIMWEAR! Please email images to jemima@fashioncapital.co.uk to be involved!
Fashionistas! – for guest list access to The Collection at one of London’s most sought after clubs, AMIKA please email RSVP@fashioncapital.co.uk
For all other information regarding the event please email jemima@fashioncapital.co.uk
Stitch in Time
The Stitch in Time programme has now closed as Fashion Enter has taken unemployed individuals in the borough of Haringey through an intensive 2 weeks of in house training followed by a 2 week work placement and then seeking permanent job opportunities in the fashion sector. The programme was extremely successful and has been highlighted for an award from the NDC at the Summer Celebration Event this Saturday. It has been a pleasure working with all participants, the council and the NDC.

“British Designers @ FashionCapital” to land in Bath
From Bicester to Bath; hot on the heels of the highly successful ‘British Designers Collective’ concept in Bicester Village comes a follow-on initiative in the World Heritage City of Bath. ‘British Designers @ FashionCapital’ will showcase the very best in British fashion direct from the catwalk. Adding to the mix the boutique aims to provide space and support for up and coming talent.
Situated in fashionable Milsom Place managers Vanessa Isaia and JoJo Iles believe the boutique will bring a truly unique offer to the area. JoJo comments: “Jenny Holloway and I had been discussing the idea of a boutique/workshop in Bath for sometime. We want it to be a multi-faceted concept whereby we not only introduce great designers to Bath but we provide support and exposure for local creative talent too.”
Ken Elliott, Director at Milsom Place Ltd adds; “Milsom Place is an architectural fusion between the old and the new which links Bath’s two most fashionable streets; this design-led retail destination has been created with both established and new fashion brands in mind and we are therefore delighted to be able to offer the British Designers Boutique a home here.”
British Designers @ FashionCapital is scheduled to open this September. Watch this space for further developments.

Boutique Pick of the Week
This fabulous dress from Jolaby’s new collection will make any girl stand out from the crowd, however the light blue particularly compliments girls with fair skin and hair for those of us unable to obtain the natural summer tan. The bow tied around the waist defines your body shape tucking you in, in all the right places. The sterdier fabric lessens the fragile feel inherent to all light colours. As with these pastel colours you don’t want to create too delicate looking outfit, the structure highlights two dimensions to this dress. This dress will see you through the summer providing the perfect aura of elegant chic. Make sure you get your hands on this versatile beauty giving an edgy look to a pretty dress at Enter Boutique in Croydon.

Until next time, have a great week All the team at Fashion Capital x
