FC Trend Prediction is soon to launch the latest set of trends for AW 2011/2012 entitled ‘Empress’ As with all our trends they are purely for our members only and there is a full article on this whole theme entitled ‘Taking Flight’
Empress is about the beauty and mystery of the peacock with its ancient heritage, hypnotising tail of feathers and powerful stature which will be interpreted into the most luxurious designs which demand respect.

The Showroom Open Day – 20th July
We are always looking for new collections here at The Showroom.
If you are a member of Fashion Capital, are up to industry standards, ready to sell at wholesale and we have not seen your work here at the Showroom, then we would like to find out more about you.
The aim of our open day is to invite all new designers in to show their collections, meet the team and ask questions about our service.
This will take place on July 20th so please make yourself available and RSVP your attendance.
We will be doing time slots between 12pm – 2pm, 2pm – 4pm and 4pm – 6pm.

Clothes Show London
Last week saw the FashionCapital boutique showcase at Clothes Show London at Earls Court. Over 20 new and emerging designers exhibited under the umbrella and the area proved a popular hotspot amongst shoppers. The 3 day event turned Earls Court into a fashion and beauty haven and although it was up against a number of strong contenders including Glastonbury and the World Cup the over all event was a success with designers and brands making sales and creating awareness.

I love your Style competition winner!
The search for the best dressed shopper in the I love your Style competition was a fantastic hit seeing stylish fashionistas posing in front of the logo board all day in hope of winning a designer goody bag! A huge thank you to all those designers who have donated an item from their collection!
After much deliberation the winner is….
Elisha Shireen from Halifax!
Elisha was chosen as winner for her funky, edgy style and a diverse outfit.
Her clothes were trendy but different!
Free Business Support Available
If you are a business with at least 5 employees, including part timers and volunteers, you could be entitled to a years worth of funded (up to £1000) business advice and hand holding support to ensure your business succeeds today!
This is a unique opportunity to establish exactly what areas you need help with, whether it is production, marketing, branding or sales an advisor will work closely with you for one year providing you with tailor made support.
As the training provider Fashion Enter will then be able to follow through on the advice given with our extensive range of services including, The Workshop for production, the Fabric Studio for sourcing, The Showroom and retail boutiques to maximise sales, the PR dispensary service, Creative Designs for branding and much more.

Free Business Support for Women in Work
Over the last few works women living in England and working in the clothing and textiles sector have been applying for free business support and training with FashionCapital through the Skillset Women in Work programme.
There are still places available! If you would like the opportunity to attend one of Fashion Enter’s seminars and receive free business support then now is your chance! We are delighted to announce that Skillset has awarded us a further 5 spaces for learners through FashionCapital.

PR Dispensary Service – Introducing Paolita!
Fashion Enter’s PR dispensary service held a highly productive meeting with one of its latest clients this week. Designer Anna Paola and Joseph Bachman from swimwear label Poalita visited The Showroom to review the service and sign up for the full press release and distribution.
We are delighted to have this exciting new brand on board and can’t wait to exclusively reveal the stunning beachwear designs from this highly talented designer!

The Collection Returns!
After much anticipation we are delighted to announce the return of The Collection in association with Edge Models. After a hugely successful show at Vendome nightclub with a guest list in excess of 300 The Collection will next take place at Amika on Friday 23rd July.
‘A unique playground for the extravagant, designed for affable debauchery and indulgent fun, without pretentiousness but exuding an abundance of class and style, Amika night club is the ultimate destination for major players and glitterati alike.’
We are looking for 6 – 8 designers across swimwear and accessories to take part. The full package includes up to 10 complete outfits/accessories in the show, organisation, styling, inclusion on all pre and post event publicity, promotion on FashionCapital and images from our professional photographer.

Fashion Enter welcomes Doria Charalambous to The Workshop
Doria is the latest addition to The Workshop as part of the administration team. A keen traveller at the age of 18 she moved to London to proceed with her academic career plans. She attended Goldsmiths University, joining the History and Politics course, and in that alternative, vibrant environment she let her creative side to flourish. As part of the Student Union staff and as a Student Ambassador she was involved in PR and events organisation as well as article contributions in online magazines and blogs.
Eager to be part of a creative team, Doria, joined Fashion Enter. In this exciting working environment she is looking forward to deplore her true potential and develop her creative side by contributing to the company’s success.
Enter Boutique Croydon
The Croydon boutique would like to welcome designer Andréa Galler. We will now be selling her t-shirts with an image taken from the cult film With Nail & I. This classic much loved film has inspired the very popular design. We will be selling more of her collection within the next month which is also inspired by other British cult films.
This week we have also introduced some new styles into the store from floral shift dresses to the essential summer swim wear.
Meet Roopal Vadgama –
‘I’m Roopal Vadgama, the latest member to join the FashionCapital team. I have been working at the Fashion Enter boutique for a couple of weeks now and will be here until the end of September before I go back to university.
I have been studying fashion, textiles and design for four years now, with A levels in textiles, art and maths. I am currently at De Montfort University studying for a BA Hons in Design Management and Innovation.
Here at Fashion Enter, I will be able to put into practise the role of a design manager and get the experience to fit along with my studies. I will also be learning the different areas of the business. This is a great opportunity for me to show what I am capable of.’
Real Models
Real Models new website will be up shortly and all of our FashionCapital members will have exclusive access, discounts to hire all models and in some cases free models! Fashion Enter workshop at Cheam high school
On 15th July Fashion Enter will be delivering a workshop during Cheam High School’s Make a Difference Day. The workshop will provide an overview of the fashion sector and different jobs including engaging on best sellers and worst sellers as well as the branding process by logos. This will be a highly information workshop teaching students about the real world of the fashion industry.
