NEWSLETTER
Dear all,
Bicester Village British Designers Collective
The British Designers collective based at Bicester Village will go live on 31st March 2010! This is a totally new concept for fashion today and for six weeks London’s finest LFW designers will be showcasing and selling previous seasons stock at Unit 34!
On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th Jenny Holloway and Vanessa Isaia will be holding interviews for any member who has stocks available for sale. These garments must be of the highest quality, available in sizes (hopefully in ratio) and must not be seconds or rejected stock for fit and this opportunity is not guaranteed as all stock must be reviewed by Value Retail.

Megan Cook
The Assistant Manager for Bicester Village has been appointed and we are delighted to introduce Megan Cook. Megan will be writing a regular blog for FC on her experience which will provide a fantastic insight into the running of Bicester Village British Designers Collective…
‘For a successful high end fashion boutique it is important that it is run precisely, following a certain approach and creating the right atmosphere. Every little nook and cranny has to be done to the highest standard, from general customer service to Visual merchandising, in order to boost sales and to make the boutique a success.
Having worked in retail for many years I have built up a wealth of knowledge which has helped me know what works and what doesn’t in order to increase sales and create an environment customers return to again and again. My fashion background has also helped to push this knowledge further and combining the two makes the perfect combination.’

Designer updates:
Here are just two of the ladies who have benefited from the Women in Work programme; they have full membership with FashionCapital and an ongoing support unit on all aspects of ensuring their business succeeds in fashion today – Moodswing Couture and D’Sycha Symone featured below:
Moodswing Couture
MoodSwing Couture handbags are totally unique and completely handmade in London. Each bag is thoughtfully designed, carefully stitched and lovingly embellished from start to finish by an artistic mother and daughter collaboration. Every MoodSwing Couture creation is treated like a work of art, embodying timeless beauty and pure quality.
A MoodSwing Couture handbag is instantly recognisable with its distinguished elegant style and it is often adorned with beads, crystals, stones, appliqué and jewellery pieces to add a touch of opulent grace.

D’Sycha Symone
D’Sycha Symone is a quirky, edgy, contemporary brand, which relies on philosophy of “Wear the garment well, that’s your style. Defining your individuality and your own style rules”, which means a woman’s style identity shines when she’s in a D’Sycha piece.
Designer Charlene gains her inspiration from her surroundings such as Art, Nature, Architecture, Music and the influence of Fashion which has pushed her confidence into putting together a collection that defines who she is as a designer and embraces gracefully her signature. Her strong signature style identity emphasizes the experimentation of tailoring craftsmanship, geometric/ graphic shapes and the manipulation of draping which she continues to explore and have fun with.

This month the fabulous designer images used to spice up Fashion Capital are from Afira.
Afira is a luxury, womenswear brand and we have used images from her collection ‘She’.
Afira’s designs and look book are gorgeous, and that is why we have chosen to use these spectacular pictures!
Check out Afiras designs at the Showroom and online.

Are you a fabulous designer? Do you have a collection of great images that we can use for the site?
If you do and you would like your images to be considered for use please email jemima@fashioncapital.co.uk your look book.
