Design Cycle

The Design Cycle is a unique step by step phase plan taking designers through the process of creating a collection from the initial conception of an idea, through to showman samples, production, sales and feedback and review. This extensive member’s only section will ensure to maximise the potential of your ideas transpiring into a successful and sustainable business venture via the creation of your collections each season. This is a standard project template that can be used again and again and is specific to the fashion industry as a unique and thorough tool, updated on a regular basis.

New Site For the Lovers!

With Valentine’s approaching we thought it was time for some new graphics with a decidedly dreamy feel.

The gorgeous garments and romantic images are by Claire Mischevani – a couture designer in the Fashion Enter look book who has a studio in Shrewsbury.

If you are a designer with fabulous, dynamic images that you think we could use please email them to jemima@fashioncapital.co.uk for consideration

Retail News

Are we in for a ‘double-dip’ recession?

There’s been a dismal start to the New Year by the High Street with only Tesco’s remaining buoyant that the recession is over. Growth was only 0.1% in the period September – December 2009 despite strong Christmas trading. Many retailers discounted heavily to secure sales. Redundancies are occurring and retailers are keeping all buys tight, smaller open to buy budgets and margin is ruling the day.

Boutique Pick of the Week

For work or play this dress is perfect. The weathers ridiculously indecisive at the moment and this long sleeved number allows for cold weather! The pin striped skirt and bow are so cute. Also check out the little neck detail! This is great for everyday at the office and can be dressed up with heels and some sparkles for an evening out too. This dress is available online at www.ASOS.com and in our Fashion Enter Boutiques.

It’s by Whereareyounow? Josie x – one of our Clothes Show exhibitors. It will set you back just £65!
