Fashion Enter in Drapers
The ongoing struggle of Enter Boutique in Croydon to obtain rates relief continues to cause a stir amongst leading industry press having attracted Drapers Online to feature the battle. Many positive comments have been posted on the site and the council are reconsidering the application and a meeting is taking place next week with David Freeman, Policy Manager, so thanks to all showing their support and speaking out for us to continue providing the platform to showcase, sell and increase exposure via our first retail boutique in Croydon. CAD/CAM – last day
The FREE Cad/Cam courses held at the Workshop, courtesy of City Fringe Partnership and Vetigraph have truly been a resounding success, having educated and enhanced the skills and knowledge of over 35 students throughout the duration of March. This week offered the opportunity for those students to return to the Workshop to practise their newfound skills on our system to assist the progression of their own labels. With great thanks to our trainers Gerry, Pam and Dymphna. Today has been the last day of FREE open training sessions however if anyone wishes to use the facilities available you are more than welcome to at £15 per hour for members and £20 per hour for non members.
New S/S 10 Trends
Fashion is all about trends! At FashionCapital there is a highly talented team of journalists constantly reviewing the Fashion Industry to bring you the latest fashion news, views and reviews.

Designers Chance for £10,000!
The Showroom is going from strength to strength in Kingston and it's with great excitement that we can now open a whole range of services thanks to Kingston College. Kinston College is highly respected in the Fashion Industry for its high calibre staff and training and its high success rate. Kingston teaches all aspects of fashion but also the business of fashion which is vital for success for all new graduates today. There has been high capital expenditure at Kingston College Anstee House to offer a full range of machinery for the course including knitting machines (highly sort after by all knitwear designers) and also a textiles printing suite. Fashion Enter is now working collaboratively with Kingston College to offer this extensive range of services to our designers.
Further we have joined up forces with Knowledge Connect to offer up to £10,000 support to enable our designers to use the facilities e.g. creating new innovative excusive screen prints, new knitwear developments and any aspect of new product development.

French Fashion Day
Following on from the trip to France to review the French Fashion Industry, FashionCapital has also been invited to the French Fashion Day taking place 22nd April in London. The event, which is being held for the fourth time, will showcase the expertise of 15 French contract clothing manufacturers that are seeking to develop business links with British designers.
The West of France is home to 400 SMEs employing 14,000 staff across all aspects of the clothing sector. The French Fashion Day will showcase the expertise of contract clothing manufacturers from the region, which produce prêt-à-porter and couture collections for leading French and international designers including Chloe, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Christian Dior.
Designer update: Simon Wang
Last week we gave a newswire mention to one of our longest running members, ladieswear designer Simon Wang, as he is so grateful for all the help and support Fashion Enter has offered over the years. Simon really is flying at the moment and we are now delighted to reveal that Simon will be opening Shanghai Fashion Week and his first model will be rising star Emma Pai who opened the Dior Show last year! Well done Simon!

Bespoke Beauty
Centrale's shoppers in Croydon have grown to anticipate and expect high standards of style and service from Fashion Enter boutique. With the revamp of the boutique comes a revamp of the scale and scope of the products and services we offer. We are launching our Bespoke Beauty service where we offer customers whose bodies' don't fit into our standard dress sizes a MADE TO MEASURE service. We would like all our designers to get on board and be prepared to offer a bigger size if requested. Additionally, we are searching for designers/seamstresses who are able to work along with the boutique to offer Made to Measure services on a wider scale. Despite the countless setbacks for Sir Philip Green and supermodel, designer Kate Moss in anticipation of the opening of the first US flagship Topshop store in the shopping capital of the world; Manhattan, the doors will open to US residents tomorrow. A host of 18 parties attracting the likes of American superstars Kate Bosworth, Lyndsey Lohan and Mariah Carey with performers including Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga means the opening will go unnoticed by very few people. Queues will be expected as the prolonged hype has drawn even more attention having expected to open in October; the readers of Teen Vogue have been long awaiting the introduction of the London street style to their wardrobes.
