South African pen pal story
Eastbury Comprehensive School students have been sitting down every Monday morning to put pen to paper and write to the unfortunate fashion students of Project Gateway in South Africa.
‘Some of our students have been communicating with students from South Africa recently who must have very different backgrounds from them but at the same time they must be interested in so many of the same things!! Our students have been quite excited about interacting with others teenagers their age, particularly as South Africa is culturally very different and they will be able to learn a great deal from exchanging information. It's a project that will really develop their understanding of lifestyles around the world and very different to previous projects they have been involved in.'
Bobbi Kumari – Head of Textiles
This is such a wonderful project taking place. FashionCapital will continue to provide updates on this heart warming collaboration.
