You can be the best designer in the world but if you have no press, then no one knows about you and your time and talents are wasted. We offer a unique service where by we produce a tailor made press release for your label and distribute to our extensive database of contacts. The most recent designer to jump on board has been childrenswear label Blow-pipe and on the day the press release was distributed a fantastic result was made in trade magazine Childrenswear Buyer showing an immediate interest.
CWB is the only UK trade magazine dedicated exclusively to the childrenswear industry. Read by retailers, manufacturers, agents and suppliers, it’s an essential business tool for anyone involved in the childrenswear trade, keeping its readers abreast of the latest information on product, key business issues, hot retail ideas and essential industry news. The Face of Barking and Dagenham In a new development of the Face of Barking and Dagenham modelling competition we are delighted to announce we will be teaming up with Simon Green, Centre Manager at Vicarage Field Shopping Centre, who has embarked on a model search for all different types of models. Simon is looking for a cross sections of models to feature in the Vicarage Field Shopping Centre magazine. This is fantastic as it will ensure maximum impact for the Barking and Dagenham area. Simon has also confirmed he will be going over to New York when FashionCapital’s fashion event Profile will be taking place to see the winner take to the catwalk and model in her first fashion show.

Workshops and Seminars
The final of the Face of Barking and Dagenham will take place on Saturday 30th Thursday with a series of self enhancement workshops beginning Tuesday 26th August leading up to the big day.
We are pleased to confirm that the Adult College of Barking and Dagenham will hold a whole day of workshops on Thursday 28th August which will include facials, manicures and make-up.
Eco Bags Competition The competition to design your own Eco-chic reusable bag has got well under way with some fantastic designs coming through. The winner will have their design featured throughout the Croydon consumer's everyday wardrobe as well as the added bonus of knowing the innovative creation will improve the current state of environmental affairs throughout the UK by promoting eco-friendly fashion in a stylish awareness campaign. The Face of Croydon’s first Photo Shoot Kym Whittle, the winner of the Face of Croydon competition has had her first taste of modelling with a professional photo shoot with Rah Agency. Helen Puxley, Director at Rah Agency and also one of the judges at the final commented, ‘Kym was the obvious winner for Rah, in the Face of Croydon Competition. Her look is adaptable to enable her to cross over from fashion to commercial photographic work and her height and statistics enable her to do catwalk. Additionally, her approach and level of commitment and professionalism proved to us that she was right for the role.’ This is only the beginning for Kym; who knows we may have discovered the next future supermodel from Croydon. Move over Kate Moss, who also hails from the South London borough!
