Dear all,
NY Profile is really hotting up with an excellent standard of applications coming in thick and fast. NY Profile will debut in New York City with partners Nolcha on 10th and 11th September 08 during New York Fashion Week. We are delighted to accept London based International designer Ismail Erbil’s application. Remember the Swan dress worn by Bjork in 2001 at the Oscars? Well that was inspired and made by Ismail!
Profile bridges the gap between Graduate fashion Week and London Fashion Week and is an excellent platform for ladieswear, menswear and accessory designers. In the past it has attracted some highly influential people in the fashion industry. The late Isabella Blow, supermodel Lisa B and singer songwriter Gerry DeVeaux have all supported the fashion event.
We are still accepting expression of interest forms so for your opportunity to reach the bright lights of New York City click here to download form.
Calling all Fashion Graduates
Graduate Fashion Week takes place on 8th to 12th June this year at Earls Court Exhibition Centre. FashionCapital are always present at Graduate Fashion Week to make sure graduates are given the best possible advice and support. Many are lost in the real world of the fashion industry and without the correct guidance and much needed help there are many designers who simply fail. Don't let this happen to you, we are here to help! For added press and PR for your press book prior to Graduate Fashion Week we will upload your profile and images for free on the leading portal for the industry www.fashioncapital.co.uk. Email your profile to tom@fashioncapital.co.uk and we will promote you on the site for free.
How would you like your clothes to be worn by music artists?
Those of you who are members to Fashion Enter will know about Rivkie Baum. Rivkie produces some fantastic style inspiration boards for our readers. Rivkie is a stylist in her own right and has just been contracted to style an unsigned music band for the cover of their new single which is predicted mass play! The band is currently unsigned, however the single has already been passed to Radio 1 and they are being mentored by the head of EMI.
Here comes the exciting bit…
Rivkie has asked if FashionCapital designers would like to have the chance of having their clothes worn by the band members. This unique opportunity is available to members only and for just £10 it really is worth it. Click here for membership details.
