The men’s
designer collections may well be wrapping up in Milan but all talk here at
FashionCapital HQ has turned to the Big Apple. Looks like designer Jonathan
Saunders won’t be the only one jetting across the Atlantic this February. Our
very own director Jenny Holloway will be reporting live and direct from the New
York catwalks and no doubt networking like a trooper.
If you
don’t know already the big news is that Profile will be showcasing in New York
in September. Thanks to a dynamic collaboration with Nolcha the two events have
come together to create an even bigger storm on both sides of the pond. Both
Nolcha and Profile are dedicated platforms for up and coming designer talent.
First up on
the schedule is Nolcha Fashion Week: London February 11th – 16th 2008 hosted by
Nolcha and Profile, sponsored by FashionCapital. Invitees to NFW: London will
include: UK and European press, stylists, industry figures and buyers from top
London boutiques and department stores.
The
following September Profile and Nolcha will once again combine forces to
provide a New York stage for up and coming design talent. Each designer will be
specially screened by both Nolcha and Profile to ensure the best of the crop
will be introduced into the Big Apples fashion scene.
Jenny
Holloway, FashionCapital & Profile Director commented: “This is such an
amazing opportunity for 16 exceptionally talented ladieswear and accessory
designers. There will be a launch party on Tuesday 12th February to introduce
the potential designers to our New York partners; the match with Nolcha is an
excellent fit for every one concerned.”
Nolcha Fashion Week: London will be
held at The Music Room, 26 South Molton Street, Mayfair, London W1K 5LF from
the 11th – 16th February 2008. www.nolchafashionweek.com
