Hello All,
It’s an exciting time in the big, bad world of fashion and now it’s the turn of Milan to sit under the glare of the fashion spotlight. Reflecting on London; yes the week was action packed with international labels alongside the new and up-and-coming, but as for the latest S/S 08 trends it seems designers were sticking to safe pared down silhouettes from the summer just gone. The dress is still key and glossy fabrics were in plentiful supply alongside transparent layers.

While we are on the subject of London Fashion Week we would like to take this opportunity to thank the team that patiently filmed, photographed and reported from the tightly packed schedule. The FC LFW team included:
With additional thanks to Vanessa, Jenni and Jemima Compton who also attended the odd show. JoJo would also like to thank Tom at Toni&Guy for the fabulous hair-cut. The shorter fringe inspired other journalists to pop along and book into to the on-site salon.

Hand on heart this selection process for the catwalk has been extremely difficult. Everyone that is exhibiting at Profile this season could have easily been selected for the catwalk.
As you are aware, the catwalk is not a traditional event; it is a catwalk theatre where some of the models are dancers and each scene is choreographed. It is with these considerations in mind that the designers have been selected.
May we also reiterate that as previous seasons, the retailer can select from any exhibiting designer – the catwalk does not guarantee success.
Congratulations to all designers that are showcasing this season.
