It’s Christmas and my hasn’t the time flown!! Everyone at FashionCapital has been so busy it’s easy to forget that this is the festive season!  

So here’s some good news for you! THANKS TO YOU FashionCapital is now 9th on the Google home page for “fashion”. As a result we are going to offer all our users the chance of a half price eCommerce boutique on the site as our Christmas present to you! Also if there are any designers out there with their own DVDs of themselves, their ranges then please send them to us and we will upload this for free!

If you want to have your boutique for £100 plus vat a year instead of the £200 price point them please confirm in writing to vanessa@fashioncapital.co.uk  before the end of December 2006 and Vanessa will log you on to the system and provide your user name and password.

and….what do you think of the mood boards! Aren’t they fab? Caroline Shaw has done it again and produced her inspirational trends that have then been collated by Vanessa with line drawings of key silhouettes to match.

Between Christmas and New Year Vanessa will be beavering away to upload the Autumn 07/08 mood boards to titivate you too so keep your eyes peeled for this!

Would just like to say a BIG thank you to Dawn James a designer that we have known and worked with for many years. She recently flipped her lid over the lack of appropriate business support available to designers and decided to do something about it. She wrote this letter

The last nine months have been extremely tough and there are times when I have thought I have seriously lost the plot! However when we receive support like this it makes it all worth while. Thanks again Dawn!  

We would just like to welcome Jo Chipchase and her sister Lisa to the world of Fashion-Enter, our sister company. The two ladies are setting up a party plan business for Fashion Enter designers. They are based in the every so affluent area of Seven Oaks and have a huge supply of friends to supply with the Fashion Enter designers from the boutique in Croydon.

Jo said “When we went into the Enter boutique in Croydon we just couldn’t believe what we saw. You just don’t get shops like this in Seven Oaks and the surrounding areas and as we were previously busy professionals we could spot the enormous opportunity immediately! I have already spent a fortune there!” The first parties are scheduled for the end of January so best of luck ladies.

Quick mention to Bright Futures too….this is our new project whereby we are working disadvantaged teenagers between 15-17 and showcasing their jewellery in the boutique. We are on our second record of stock within just one week. The collections are flying out. Well done to each of the designers.

The fashioncapital.co.uk site will be closing for Christmas from Friday 22nd and some uploads will take place in between Christmas and New Year. We will however be back with a vengeance on Tuesday 2nd January.   

Finally our Christmas card to you…relax and enjoy the holiday period. Who knows what’s around the corner for 2007 but remember, if you don’t have a go you will never know!
