Profile just gets better and better. We are delighted to announce that Mazda will be launching their much anticipated MX5 sports car at the unique Profile and TBC collaboration on 12th an 13th February at Tobacco Dock! Also Mazda is kindly supplying a fleet of 40 cars to chauffeur press and buyers to and from the event. With 300 main brands showcasing at the event including Levi and Diesel from TBC and 70 new and emerging designers from Profile this year’s fashion event really is a true collaboration with industry.

Applications are still being received due to the Christmas period being relatively long this time and many designers only returned back to work this Monday. The selection day for both the exhibition and the catwalk is now Monday 16th January and if you need any information please call Tracy Robinson on 020 8462 1475.

Remember this is a trade only event and access to the venue is strictly by registration AND only for genuine trade personnel.
Remember the Langley Park School for Boys initiative whereby two winning boys were selected to produce two ladieswear garments? The project has been so well received that the Government Office for London have kindly donated a sum of money to continue the project further. We will be showcasing the two award winning designs from Dave Rapper and Ben Hutchings at the event where they will also have a special catwalk screening too. Many thanks to GOL for making this happen.
So is the Good Life failing to make you happy? According to the Times this weekend we have never had it so good but we are just a glum lot! Britain is ranked below 20 other countries including far poorer countries such as Uruguay, Mexico, Ghana and Colombia. The research basically confirms that money can’t buy you happiness….sure helps though doesn’t it! In the Happy League of Tables Malta was top. Hence remember if they are a happy lot in Malta perhaps that’s one export destination for you!

It’s all change at the British Fashion Council. John Wilson has now been replaced by Hilary Riva Chief Executive. Hilary successfully managed the Principles for Women buy out and has excellent retail and design credentials behind her. Credit to John Wilson however who has worked long and hard to ensure that London Fashion Week is the pinnacle of our fashion world. For more information regrading London Fashion Week click below:-.

A warm welcome to Rachael Brown of CoJac who has applied for Profile with her innovative new product. Can’t say too much as it is a closely guarded secret but soon we will be able to see her collection on the FashionCapital boutique. Rachael also showcased at K2C and it is hoped that we can further collaborate with K2C in the future.
FC will shortly be embarking on providing textile and fashion information to help with FE and HE coursers. We have had a host of requests to provide some form of glossary on the Learning Section to act as an aide memoir for last minute cramming. This will be instigated after Profile.
Finally a special mention to Clare at Potassium a fantastic retail boutique in Seymour Place just off Edgware Road London. Potassium is an avid supporter of Profile. They came to the event last season and now their boutique is basically stocked with 90% of Profile designers – how impressive is that. Clare said that there was no other event like Profile that showcases true design talent and a feature will shortly be posted on the site. Great to know that basically “IT” works. Profile networks genuine designer’s talent with retailers with amazing results.
There don’t seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment! Hope all you out there are winning!
See you at Profile on 12th and 13th February at Tobacco Dock,
