Profile 5 made it into the press again, kind courtesy of Leah Woods, who has firmly offered support for the new and emerging designer talent.

“Supporting Profile Select, an initiative by the London Fashion Forum to promote the UK’s emerging talent – I modelled the catwalk show of winning designs.”  For the full article click below:

Profile 6 is on! The new dates are Tuesday 20th September and Wednesday 21st September at trendy Vinopolis. The event will revert back to the highly successful two day trade show and as always some exciting developments will be announced shortly. Next seasons Profile event is going to blow you away!!

We have a buyer coming over from America, Mathew Gerson from Bonnie Jean (Gerson and Gerson), a children’s company, at the end of this month. They are specifically coming over to see the potential of the UK market so here’s another first for the LFF. If there are any childrenswear designers who may be looking for a career break in the Big Apple please contact the office on 020 8462 1475. Also if there are any agents out there that would like to stock an established childrenswear range (opened in 1930s) again call the office.

“Gerson & Gerson Inc, the parent company of “Bonnie Jean” is celebrating its 65th year of operation.  The family-run business focuses on childrenswear, and has remains has the philosophy: ‘Make the best product possible, never sacrifice quality, and maintain affordable prices.”

The trend section just gets better and better – there will be a total of four Key Trends Summary boards each season from Caroline Shaw and each week Caroline will be providing a Fashion Focus – something new and hot on the fashion scene. The latest Gypsy Dress identified by Caroline has received a very high hit rate. In addition Caroline is reviewing a cross section of fabric mills and agents to provide you with an overview of key fabric trends. This will be available on line by the end of April – exciting isn’t it?!

Many thanks for the requests to meet Lord Andrew Stone; as many of you have said in your 50 words it is a unique opportunity to meet not only a dynamic man who knows the fashion industry like the back of his hands with valuable contacts, but also you just can’t buy an afternoon tea at the Lords! Keep those requests flowing – we will announce the lucky winners shortly. Click on the link below to apply:

Finally, the count down to the marathon has begun….my stomach churns at the thought! I managed to run 21.5miles and now I am tampering down…..wasn’t aware that I was ever “up” but there you go. Next time I get the urge to fight for charitable causes I think I will shave my head instead!

Until next week.

Have a good one.
