We are currently experiencing a tremendous increase in hit rates on www.fashioncapital.co.uk – for January 05 we received over 3 million – a new first! We have also received some wonderful feedback from you too:-

Rebecca Jay (designer) “AS a direct result of fashioncapital our business has gained in a positive way, we have taken orders from the boutique and have linked our boutique directly to fashioncapital. Our new website was itself produced by a student who spotted out designs on the fashincapital site.  We also received a fantastic editorial in Tense magazine; a four page shoot of our collection and this again was a result of our brand being spotted on the fashioncapital site by freelance stylist Nanu Fosu”

Don’t you think that is incredible?? Not only has the site generated sales but two individuals have networked together to create a new website and a stylist spotted Rebecca and promoted her further. This is just what makes Fashioncapital unique and there is no other site like it on the web. Can you tell this gives me a real buzz!

Another great quote has been received from Aija Gagnas (Business Support Organisations) Nottinghamshire International Clothing Centre “As a result of having a “banner” we have been approached by many London firms requesting information which we have been able to advise….. this collaborative working has proved to benefit the textile and clothing sector as a whole and demonstrates that regions should work together”.

Here here Aija….if only other organisations would adopt such a proactive and genuine approach!

Select Profile 5 has had more designer applications sent in than we can cope with! Thanks to all of you out there that have sent in such a high standard of workmanship. In particular Clare Evans from Wales who drove all the way here from Shrewsbury to ensure that she would not be late for her application deadline this Friday! Judging by the designs submitted to date select Profile 5 will be outstanding and the judges will have an extremely difficult time to select who the final entries will be.

Don’t forget to come and see us at London Fashion Week stand G19 – we will again be showcasing a wide cross section of designers who have selected one of their key garments for promotion. In addition we will be providing our normal cheery advice and showcase www.fashioncapital.co.uk too!

How do you like the new LFF mag! We have been delighted with the response and thank the good Lord above too. There has been blood sweat and tears behind that edition!

Have a good week ahead!
