So you are all welcome to the launch party which will be take place at Bluewater from 5pm until 10 pm on Thursday 25th November…naturally refreshments will be provided!

Last night we attended a new project for the Dulwich Youth Club and met with some bright 15, 16 and 17 year olds on a new fashion project at Bellenden Old School in Peckham. The idea is to help the group of 12 teenagers to work on a fashion label and garment creation and then promote their work at our two boutiques and on FashionCapital.

A new section will be created on FashionCapital for the Dulwich Youth project in the diary section and this will be updated fortnightly with the help of Debbie Jennings Chairperson of Dulwich Youth 2000 UK. It’s great to be working on such innovative projects that can also give some thing back to the community.

It was also great to see Samson Soboye helping on the project too. Samson is one of the designers on the LFF books and has gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months. Samson now has a boutique SoboyeSoong with his partner and a successful stylist business too.

The Museum section is flying. The feedback has been brilliant and particular thanks to Anna Marie from Smart Publishing! The section will shortly be upgraded and we are implanting the new design changes which will include a revamped five part section as itemised below:

1)     Fashion around the world

2)     Fashion through the ages

3)     Periodicals and library

4)     Exhibitions

5)     Textiles

Finally, a big thank you to our intrepid reporter from the Big Apple, Cheryl Nowak. The Big Apple Diary feature had an exceptionally high hit rate. Look out for Cheryl’s new article this Friday!
